About Sharon

I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I spent most of my life there raising a family, owning a business and being involved with the community.

Now a senior citizen, I live with my daughter, Michelle and her husband, George in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Just before coming to Dearborn, I had the chance to live with my daughter, Marci and her husband, Akira for almost a year in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan. I have a bonus daughter too, Mikaela who lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am blessed to have these women as daughters and these men as sons-in-law, my teachers one and all.

I began writing six years ago as a way to keep in touch with friends and family while I was living in Japan. This led to contributing to a book and now I am working on a memoir.
