I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I spent most of my life there raising a family, owning a business, and being involved with the community.
Now a senior citizen, I live with my daughter, Michelle, and her husband, George, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Just before coming to Dearborn, I had the chance to live with my daughter, Marci and her husband Akira, for almost a year in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan. I have a bonus daughter, too, Mikaela, who lives in Puyallup, Washington. I am blessed to have these women as daughters and these men as sons-in-law, my teachers one and all.
I began writing eight years ago as a way to keep in touch with friends and family while I was living in Japan. This led to contributing to a book, and now I am working on a memoir.

I'm a contributing author!
